Site selection

The tree is going to have to be placed in the proper site in order for it to succeed in its new enviroment. The placing of the tree is going to depend on the several different circumstances.

Size

• You will have to determine the size the tree is going to be at a mature age to know where to place it because it could become more of a maintenence problem than needed do to the tree growing into power lines or roots destroying sidewalks and underground cable.
• Is the tree at a mature age even going to fit into the space that you have available for it. In other words when the tree is older it is not going to be growing into the house or garage requiring a lot of maintance to prune it.

Site Conditions

• Is the tree once planted going to get the proper amount of sunlight that it needs to grow.
• Is the tree planted in a site that will allow it to have the correct amount of water once it is established in the area.
• Is the soil that the tree is placed suitable for growing the tree without constant fertilizing
